Last weekend, we hosted Easter dinner here in Wisconsin. It ended up being a beautiful day – a nice dinner, an Easter egg hunt for my nephews, and Skyping with one of my brothers who couldn’t make it.

I bought this dress from TJ Maxx for only $20! I love how feminine and delicate it is with the off-the-shoulder sleeves.

We had so much fun decorating the Easter table! We wanted to stick with pinks, yellows, and whites, so we gathered up all of our antique dishes and cloth napkins and spent some time figuring out which items worked best together. We ended up using two different styles of plates and alternated them every other place setting which looked really nice.

The night before, we swung into the local supermarket to peruse the flower section. We decided on pastel roses mixed with white hydrangeas to create two different bouquets. Next to these bouquets, we set three gold candlestick holders which I found at Goodwill for $2 a piece 🙂

Finally, as requested by my nephew, I made some bunny cupcakes for Easter dessert. I’m not much of a baker so the tops of the cupcakes ended up being too sticky to frost properly. Thanks to my mom’s suggestion, we sprinkled some powdered sugar on top and that did the trick. Then it was just a matter of adding some coconut shavings on top and the marshmallow ears dipped in pink sprinkles and voila! Bunny cupcakes!
