My Beginner Fishing Rod
Last summer I decided to try fishing and, to my surprise, ended up really loving it! I’ve fished before – my parents took me as a kid and I occasionally tossed in a line throughout my adult life – but I hadn’t truly gotten into it until now.
I had absolutely no idea where to start as far as gear but luckily Sean is a master Googler and found me the perfect beginner fishing rod!

I ended up buying the Pflueger Trion Spinning Rod Combo which only cost $60. I went with the medium-light, 6-foot one which seemed like a good all-around option. With it, I was able to catch bass, northern, walleye, and panfish. It’s comfortable to hold and spins very smoothly.

This was the perfect fishing rod for me since it was inexpensive yet good quality. I would definitely recommend trying this one if you’re a beginner like me! Also, keep an eye out for more fishing gear posts as we get closer to summer!
