I’m someone who needs a fun way to workout. I’ve tried making myself enjoy the treadmill or lifting weights but I finally said enough is enough. Why force myself into something I don’t like? I’ll just dread doing it every single time.
I was recently introduced to Tabata. I had heard about this workout before but had never actually looked into it. After trying it out a few times, it has started to become my new favorite way to workout. Tabata is high-intensity interval training. It’s a great way to workout because it’s fast and effective.
This is the structure of Tabata:
20 seconds of high intensity work, 10 seconds of rest, repeated 8 times, for a total of 4 minutes.
At the bottom of this post, I’ve added a video for you to try Tabata out for yourself (the instructor is hilarious). You don’t need any equipment and you can do it right at home.
Let me know what you think in the comments below! Did you try the workout? What are your thoughts on it?
