Northwoods Beach Day
I live for these long summer days where the sun doesn’t set until 9 and the air is warm and sticky. Where afternoons are spent lounging on sandy shores and jumping headfirst into cold lake water. It’s days like these that make the winter months worth it. And last Sunday was one of those days.
I brought along a cheap bottle of pink wine that tasted like watermelon and a beach blanket to lay on. When the sun would get too hot, we’d float lazily on a pair of inflatable rafts, trailing our fingers along the surface of the water. At the end of the day, we built a campfire and headed back to the truck when the stars came out.
