Washburn Trails, Rhinelander, WI

February 4, 2020

The other week, a few friends and I headed to the Washburn Trails, located about 20 minutes west of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. In the winter, it offers 15 miles of trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat-tire biking. There’s a heated shelter, a good-sized parking lot, and vault toilets.

We arrived right after a big snowfall and it looked like a winter wonderland! The snowshoe trail that we hiked took us through mostly deciduous forest and rolling terrain. It gave us a great workout!
