Wollersheim Winery

August 22, 2019

The sheer beauty of Wollersheim Winery is enough to make you stop in awe. With its ivy-covered buildings and lavish grounds, you’ll feel as if you’ve just wandered onto a French estate.

When we arrived, we were greeted by Jessi, Wollersheim’s marketing specialist. He introduced us to Céline, who does all the lab work, quality control, and tasting; she’s also the daughter of winemaker Phillipe. They were the sweetest people and kindly showed us around the property, filling us in on the history of Wollersheim and their winemaking process. It was so cool to go behind-the-scenes and see how it all works! Check out their vineyard timeline to learn more about how it all comes together.

Winery hours + guided tours

The winery is open daily, year-round from 10 am to 5 pm. Complimentary wine tastings are available inside the tasting room! I believe we tried six of their featured wines. Additional tastings are $6 each.

They also offer daily tours during the months of May through September. Guided tours are $10 per person and last about 35 minutes. Tour times are 10:15am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. Learn more here.

distillery + bistro

Not only does Wollersheim have an incredible winery, but they also have a distillery as well! And they also recently announced that they’ll be opening up an onsite bistro! Can I just move in already?!

Follow along on their Facebook page to keep up to date on when the new bistro is opening!

If you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Wollersheim Winery yet, I would definitely add it to your list! It’s elegant, picturesque, and a true Wisconsin gem.

Thank you to Céline and Jessi for being so welcoming and sharing Wollersheim with us!
