Summit Peak | Porcupine Mountains, Michigan

June 8, 2020

Last summer, we traveled to the Porcupine Mountains for a weekend of adventure. One of my favorite parts of the trip was climbing to the top of Summit Peak to watch the sunset.

Summit Peak is an out-and-back trail that brings you to a 50-foot tall observation tower. It’s an easy one-mile-long hike, most of it being on a wooden boardwalk with stairs. From the top of the observation tower, you’ll get a view of the Porcupine Mountains and Lake Superior in the distance.
